Not Only A River is an ethno-poetic, compositional experiment featuring two field recordings, one of an interview with a Hindu Swami (spiritual elder of north-west India), and one of a Ganga aarati (a Hindu ritual involving bells and chanting along the river Ganges), and a composition for piano. It is an ethnographically inspired philosophical and aural exploration of water, sound, energy, knowledge, and life, that embodies the same concepts that it seeks to explore. 

Not Only A River is the result of a collaboration between Dr. Georgina Drew and Matt Barlow.
