This is a sampler from the buckwild soundtrack I created for Slayin 2. I wrote the soundtrack for the first Slayin as authentic 8bit NES music, but the sequel was bigger and badder in every way. Fully orchestral scores with shredding guitars blended in. This is an exceptionally energetic and out of control soundtrack, possibly the most out of control thing I have ever created.

Slayin 2 has a release that is rapidly approaching. It's not firm yet, but it is this year, and possibly soon. In honour of that, I was told I could start to officially share some of the tracks from the upcoming soundtrack and I could not be happier. I worked on this soundtrack for something like 2.5 years, and it represents so much personal growth for me as a composer. You can still here nuggets of chiptune composition in this, but this time instead of transcribing rock music in to chiptune, I basically went the other way around. I took all the lessons of chiptune and flipped them back over to rock. It felt a lot like coming home.

Here is a sample of some of the riffiest rock tracks in the game. Fans of Slayin 1 may recognize a riff or two :)
