One Of Us

I saw her standing there,
Dressed up in gold & flair,
She didn’t really care at all. 
She poured another wine,
Thought she was feeling fine,
Sent shivers down her spine I saw. 

She said; “Don’t you feel like you’re wasting your time? So why take it so slow?“

I moved in close & near,
To see if I heard clear, 
She rolled her eyes, a sneer, a smile. 
Best just to walk away,
Perhaps make up someday,
Instead I turned to stay a while. 

I said; “Don’t you feel like your breaking your time? So take it nice & slow.

Just hold deep breathes.

She left me standing there, 
Out in the cold & stair,
And with a flick of hair she burned. 
I guess I’ll never know,
If she ever took it slow,
But then she stopped her go & turned.
