Very fortunate that I got the sunset slot for this Sunset Electronic event. I decided to do something a little different and begin with a few tracks that have softer melodic aspects to put more focus on the sun and beautiful views around us. I start off my set with a beautiful track by Sebastian Busto featuring a sexy sax.

The world can sometimes feel very unsettling, especially when we are hearing about all these negative events in the news and on social media. I was biking one day and listening to a lot of these tracks. They gave me a feel good vibe and they had healing & calming characteristics to them. I decided to blend these tracks together in a mix to share that moment and feeling I had with them. This is a little different than the mixes I normally upload, but I had an amazing time creating this and I hope this can help spread some love & positivity in our world. Thank you for listening <3

Second time playing at the famous afterhours in Vancouver - Gorgomish. My set time was from 4-6am, played some techno to start and then moved onto some spacey and progressive stuff. Enjoy! :)

Please enjoy my opening set for Romain Garcia's debut in Vancouver. This set starts off slower with some deep house and melodic tracks. Building it towards some stronger progressive house and finishing it off with a classic remix of Enjoy the Silence. Thanks for listening!

Vivid Presents: Romain Garcia - Mattemüs

The first opening set at Gorgomish for the year 2025. I really am proud of this set, I got to dive into multiple subgenres and really take the crowd for a musical journey. The beauty about Gorg recordings is the direct feedback you hear from the crowd in the set. I decided to bring different waves of energy throughout the different genres I played, starting from spacey, into minimal deep tech, progressive, techno and finishing off with melodic techno and tech driving. Originally born and raised in Montreal, Mattemüs started his mixing career alongside his best friend under a duo named Filthy Kids. Shortly after, he moved to Vancouver in 2021 and since then he has immersed himself in Vancouver’s underground music scene. He has managed to play at many venues around the city and he holds residency at Soma Music Hub. He brings a lot of diversity to the decks ranging from progressive, deep house, techno & minimal. Mattemüs showcases his skills on the decks by reading the room and building up the energy level. He takes pride in the tracks he chooses, ensuring that the selections are always working together. His musical blend of melodic synths and groovy low ends will take you on a journey all night long.
