Goodbye 2017 and Welcome 2018 ! I did a 3h11 big selection/mix ! 67 tracks :)
It’s a minimum to celebrate the end of the year and to start well a new one. 
There are imperfections but I wanted to do that since a long time! 
You can listen it at the fireside, in the train, the night of new year’s eve, using it to DANCE (Dance is so good!), move all the parts of your body and stay awake in face of the world and especially say welcome to 2018 YAAAH ! A new year with a lot of surprises !!!

SQUAMATA : The first track taken from MATTEO's forthcoming album "SCAGLIA". "I’ve started working on it after a concert with CHINESE MAN in Lorient (yep, that’s right!) at the beginning of 2017. I really wanted to capture and maintain this energy, as if I needed to keep this remaining fire alive, in order to fully spread out! I’ve asked YOUTHSTAR to light his lighter on each and every time. A first step to be able to change and slough this skin. The term SQUAMATA regroups all types of scaled reptiles, all reptiles which often slough their skin (I’m not the one coming with that, I’ve read it on Wiki!)." Matteo - Février 2018

COVER & DESIGN : "I have discovered Kotaro CHIBA’s work through the record cover he drew for KIDKANEVIL. I’ve immersed myself right away into his art. His creative world, poetic and sometimes very raw echoed the sounds I wanted to explore in my music. I was fond of the way he could enhance female characters with this great sense of lightness. I’ve asked him to share this perception through the figure of chameleon, an animal we could then place into a wide range of contexts and create different versions for each record release (single, EP, album). The female character is weightless and kisses the chameleon. Very classy!" Matteo - Février 2018

MATTEO (aka Zé Mateo), musician, script-writer, director and one of the founding member of the band CHINESE MAN, will release his first solo album in 2018. This album is called SCAGLIA ("scale" in Italian). For several years, while MATTEO was making music, touring with the band CHINESE MAN, through life crisis, places he crossed and people he met, he has been producing music. On Summer 2017, gathering all these tracks created from those different places and emotions he experienced, MATTEO has been able to create various but coherent pieces of music that can match these multiple environments. The symbol of chameleon seemed like the obvious choice, as adaptation is its strength. The creative process is hybrid and progressive, sometimes very personal, sometimes collaborative, fully arranged or inspired by a sample. We might add an instrumental piece later with maybe a MC or a singer. MATTEO usually works with musicians who bring their own style or capture themes he worked on and offered them. For the whole creative process, MATTEO also gathered artistic advices from his friends from CHINESE MAN and people of talent who are part or collaborate with the record label CHINESE MAN RECORDS.
