Adam Beyer has been showing us the extent of his versatility for years and this EP solidly cements the idea that Beyer can confidently swing between genres and keep up his consistently high standards within electronic music. ‘You’re The Same’ is a remarkable piece of work and keeps the tech house bods moving and shaking. All the tracks on this three-part stunner are chunky, solid grooves, that are infused with dashes of techno, house and dub. Vocal snippets are used to create some spine tingling hooks as well as moody pads to create eerie atmospheres. ‘Valium & LFO’s’ has already built up quite a following courtesy of its inclusion in Beyer’s landmark Amnesia Terrace set for Cocoon that was later broadcast as part of his Drumcode Live radio show. It has also been a mainstay in Richie Hawtin's sets along with other accomplished DJ's including the likes of Joseph Capriati. A well accomplished single from the Swede.

Full-on from the off - powered by rattles and bellowing drum kicks - it quickly descends into rolling chaos, the type that's more or less guaranteed to do some damage on White Isle dancefloors.

I've grown up listening to Moby. I've grown up listening albums like 'Play' and '18'. I've grown up listening 'Go', 'Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad',  'Porcelain' and 'Natural Blues'. They are all an important part of my life, but if there's one cut that really has touched my heart, has to be 'Natural Blues'. Can't explain why. Is not Moby's most perfect composition but it doesn't exist any other track that makes me feel like this. A mix of sadness and hope. And here I am, 31 years old (almost the same age as Moby when he wrote 'Natural Blues') and 20 years after its release, remixing my favorite tune. Trying not to destroy a piece of work I love and has meant so much to me. Has been one of the most beatiful challenges of my entire carreer. What else can I ask for when I'm remixing my favourite track? Nothing more. I just tried to give it my own touch. A tribute. Take it from my heart and bring it to the dancefloor. And I have the feeling that I've done it. I'm really lucky.

Pan-Pot’s busy touring schedule over the Summer no doubt inspired their upcoming 12” ‘Captain My Captain’. Having performed for countless festivals and main-stage crowds, their new tracks put forth glacial soundscapes so epic they could sink the Titanic.

If it's possible to say this, title track 'Captain My Captain' is actually the more restrained and studied of the three - featuring vocals written and recorded by Los Angeles based studio vocalist and label freund Cari Golden, who also wrote and performed the vocals on Anja Schneider's recent release for the Hi Five! mobilee compilation 'Something Left'.

Meanwhile, 'Black Horse Down' and 'Bad Photocopy' have everything a true Pan-Pot fan could ever wish for - think dark and heavy, builds and drops, synths and loops - true four a.m. grit to get your hands in the air and keep you raving until dawn!
