Back in time with a double mix from Steve Murphy (@stevemurphyridesagain): like they used to do it in the '00.

Purist of the vinyl, deejay and records collector since 2001. Steve Murphy has made a name for himself as a dj by blending electroclash, house with mechanic beat and pop appeal: an ecletism
which is testified also by his producer skills.

Skills that granted him, along the years, to gather consent from artists coming from almost any corner of the electronic music scene: Laurent Garnier, Carl Craig, Mount Kimbie, Skream, Legowelt, Boyznoize, Virginia, Nastia and Moxie have all played Steve tracks along the last years.

He starts the producer carrier in 2011 with the first vinyl release on Chiwax from Frankfurt, after that release he worked with labels as Wilson Record, Hot House, Domina Trxxx and Lobster Theremin.

2017 marks the birth of “Metal Position”, record label run by Steve Murphy & Dj Octopus and dedicated to their passion for minimalistic electro.

Steve gained attention from many european promoters, who booked him at venues such as Tresor and Renate in Berlin, Corsica Studios and Oval Space in London, Batofar in Paris, Goa Club and Rebel Rebel in Rome, Sound Department in Taranto, Closer in Kiev, 101 in Clermont Ferrand and Mosaique in St. Petersburg to name a few.

It's a true honor to have such a pioneer of electonic music in our podcast series.

Deep bass Line, dry snares, and insidious vocals take the spotlight in Nulek's latest release on his label, 2trckrs. With this second vinyl only, titled Pain, 2trckrs strengthens its presence on the scene, offering a collection of dark, magnetic tracks that create intense, provocative atmospheres. Three of the five tracks feature collaborations with Stickman, Kyle Quest, and Loco, capturing a raw and addictive sound that draws listeners into a world of shadowy beats and hypnotic energy.

PREMIERE: B1. Nulek  - Careful What You Ask For (2TRKS02)

Wildly healing from a downtown record store and cultural bar in Barcelona, Perros Mediterráneos embarks on their next adventure launching the new born record label, Perros Recordings. Nourished by their early groove fundamentals, for the first release they have onboard four long-time friends who most influenced their vision of house music.
As a balanced dualism in the style of yin to yang, this release splits with two tracks from Paris (France) and two from Bologna (Italy).

The curtain rises with Charonne's Electricity Pulse (A1) engaging with an electro-funk driven elixir for any dancefloor, blending timeless vibes with a contemporary edge through an infectious rhythm. Next up is Take Some Future (A2), a finely arranged and tuned tech house anthem from the prolific producer Nemo Vachez, pushing boundaries with such a lively thrust and parry of tantalizing synths, hypnotic vocals and cinematic bassline.
Flipping over to the B-side (B1), we dive headfirst into the enigmatic world of Umberto, one half of the renowned duo Nudge and a founding pillar of 320KB Music. His track 'My Mind' weaves a powerful effect into the ears, a house dream that goes deep, deep and deep... touching body, soul and obviously mind, waking up through a fat bass shaker every dancefloor. And at the pivoting point of the B2 side mystical track, we find 'Colour Depth' by T. Oceans. This "Detroit-oriented" seductive journey into the depths of sound expresses a curious electronic meditation moment, powered by layers of mellow pads and roller coaster arpeggios.
Here we are now, we let the dogs out with these four widely tuned various tracks.

Sebastián began his music career over a decade ago in his home country of Peru. After establishing himself in Lima’s local scene, he moved to Barcelona in 2018, where he rapidly evolved as a DJ and producer. Characterized by his raw and eclectic sound across various styles, particularly techno and electro, he soon made a name for himself.

He became a resident DJ at Mad Radio Barcelona and took on the leadership of the Siku Series project with a group of close friends. Additionally, he curates and manages his own label, Coqueto Records.

This curiosity sparked an interest in music production and vinyl collecting, shaping his crafted approach to DJing. 

Albert’s sets blend techno, electro, house, and breakbeat, always guided by groove, energy, and flow. Whether deep and hypnotic or high-energy and raw, he focuses on creating a connection with the space and crowd while maintaining a strong sense of storytelling. He has performed both as a solo artist and as part of the DJ duo Tusom at venues like Starlane, The Goose, E1, and Nica Bonay—always aiming to deliver selections that balance depth with dancefloor energy.
