From Matterwave Records, we want to report our rejection of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, but also of all the wars that are happening in the world right now. 
When the invasion started we tried to find a way to help these people with our project, we thought maybe making a multi-artist compilation was a good way to help as much as possible. 
We want to thank the artists and engineers who have collaborated in this task with their music and contributions, as well as the number of labels / artists who are supporting on their own.

Since the start of the war in Ukraine, any news has gotten worse, the violence and suffering in countries like Palestine, Burkina Faso, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen, Myanmar, Nigeria or Syria does not stop and the governments that should help seek their own benefit.
We released another compilation from various artists to help as much as possible.

We focus our music and concept firstly to make good records. 

Rocío is the debut EP from a new minimal dark techno label, 3 different tracks by a new artist and label co-owner DAFR A.K.A Matterwave, this cosmic lover make his first solo project including a remix of the Swedish / Berliner based producer and special influence for the label Staffan Linzatti (Searchlights Records, Field Records, Chronicle Recordings, Balans among others).

A-side
“Drops of new day” starts the EP, 128 bpm track with a progressive drums, dominant volatile bass, drones and strange hypnotic-melody arpeggio. On the A2 track named as a EP “Rocío”, DAFR continues with a 128 bpm blunt percussive track with a main dark techno melody dancing with two other synths in the space-time.

B-side
“Morning yearning” rises with an arpeggio that never ends playing itself with a basic techno drums at 130 bpm.The last track of the EP is a magical remix of “Rocío” where Staffan breaks the drums rules and plays with the strings in 6 minutes of dark celestial sound at 134 bpm.

We focus our music and concept firstly to make good records. 

“Reason of being” is the name of the second EP of the Madrilenian techno label , Matterwave Records, 4 Original tracks by Spanish producer Akenaton (Sub TL, NXT Recordings, Hxagrm Records), a skilled techno producer and dj emerging in the scene. This EP is influenced by sounds of the motor-city where Akenaton shows his abilities recording the tracks in real time as a live set. 
A trip across the space to find yourself. 

A-side 

“Fantasy or reality” opens the EP, We start our trip throwing a message from the surface, 130 bpm’s minimalistic track, predominant and hypnotic lead from the first play like a sonar sound. Accompany with atmospheres, drums and metallic sounds that transport us to somewhere in the cosmos. In second place We have “Understanding the concept”, Akenaton uses his 808 drum machine installed in the shuttle to send a new message at 132 bpm’s after to understand the space laws, using FX’s for the metallic sounds and alternating two melodies he can focus his abilities and concepts learned in the M-Plant’s label records. 

B-side 

“Voices from the cosmos” is a message for us, captured by Akenaton from some place in the universe and sent to the earth planet to make us enjoy and rave every time it is played. It is an aggressive radio transmission full of ADSR parameters, atmospheres and drones at 133 bpm’s. They received the Akenaton’s messages and now they are answering us. The last track of the EP We find “Eclipse” where Akenaton makes a outro final after his space-trip and remind us that after all We can feel calm, reflexion and Peace.

Matterwave Records goes on its rol of seeking monotonic and melodic sounds with the third EP of the label, ”Planets & Constellations” is the name of this release that counts with 2 original tracks by Spanish producer and dj named Pushmann (NN Records), a friendly techno guy shows us how with few elements a track can make you dance forever. Also this record includes super cool remixes by Mike Storm (Subsist, Symbolism Ltd, Chronicle Recordings) and Aiken (Timeline, Symbolism Ltd, Chronicle Recordings)

The arpeggio of Mensa takes your mind to a deep sky where everything is dancing in harmony like the objects in this constellation. Essential track you will always want to play, a gem into your record bag. 
The remix by Aiken is a master piece full of chords and strings destined to break your hop and elevate your arms.

Eris is the Queen of discord and the ninth most massive object orbiting the Sun, it was an influence to arrange this track. A repetitive chord catch you since beginning kept in step with well sorted techno 808 / 909 percs. 
We love the remixes that don’t look like the originals and the version by Mike is a real proof of that.
