New track I've been working on for a while.  Ableton Push and my Kaossilator came in very handy on this in producing the sample and tape-delay based effects.  A bit of a change for me in terms of the structure and chaotic sounds but I'm really pleased with it!

Ignition

an experimental ambient track for a game prototype I'm working on.  this is my first attempt at creating a soundscape, I love combining the atmospheric sounds.  Influences from soundtracks like Machinarium and Deus Ex Human Revolution

the track is built in ableton with looping phrases.  there's no arrangement as such - each part has a different phrase length with lots of gaps, so the elements combine differently as they repeat and get out of sync, so it's a somewhat 'generative' piece with no definitive beginning or end

instruments are mostly ones from Ableton Suite, plus an MS-20 pad and ImageLine Poizone for the lead 4ths saw sound

A track I created back in 2012!  I chucked together the instrumental and sent it over to my friend Josh Comley and he sent back this awesome vocal the next day.

I've been meaning to go back to it and polish it up ever since, but there's something I really like about it in this raw form.
