Save the best for last is a known expression, and we might have just lived up to that cliche with 'My Soul', the new single by Kasall & Cristian R featuring Amber Long, which is the last MNL release of 2015.

The Argentinian duo have been on a roll lately with numerous releases on A-list labels such as Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat, Flow Records, Movement Recordings and Lowbit to name a few. This time they collaborate with Canadian vocalist Amber Long who's a familiar face to the Manual family by now and see her return with very personal and emotion filled vocals on 'My Soul'.

On remix duties we welcome not one, not two, but three great artists on board! First up is Manual resident Dustin Nantais who adds a fierce 'Donna Summer-esque' arpeggiator bassline to give the song a bit of extra push. Greek artist Simos Tagias makes his Manual debut and serves us a bubbly bouncey deep take whilst another debutant, Subandrio goes for the epic peak time treatment in both a full vocal- and a dub version.

What a way to close down 2015! See you again next year?

For their next release of 2018, Ron Flatter returns to Motek with his second original EP. Deronada / Lemarnido brings a blend of melodic energy mixed with gritty driving tones. 

Lemarnido is tougher and has a chugging feel through a 16th note staccato synth section. Suspense is added with a rising eerie synth pad and the track takes a character through stripped back wooden textured beat sections. 

Remixing for this release we have a new talent Marymoon. She has brought a groove and punch to her take on Lemarnido. Keeping the same feel of the original with spacious and expertly arranged percussive parts, the remix takes on its own personality through softer and darker pad sections rising to high-energy summits with an arpeggiating synth.

Check out this sublime remix from Robert Roman. He has put his take to ‘No Way Back' stripping it right down to a hypnotic groove whilst keeping the summer vibes of the original. Use of the original string synth adds air to the track that bases itself over bass and conga rhythms. The track is finished with morphing and moulding synth effects play.
