For the first release on Nous'Klaer Mattheis provides an EP full of cosmic music to dance to. Born on a small Dutch island, Mattheis has the ability to write modest and intimate music, far from big city boldness. Isms is an EP full of synth explorations - arpeggiators waving up and down, driven by dusty drumcomputer rhythms. As part of Clone distribution Nous'Klaer Audio tends to release human dance music, both for parties and real-life. With more to come this autumn, the Isms EP is a warm and welcome start.

After a brief hiatus we are back with CKFM edition 101 & it is worth the wait. 

A definite kindred spirit to us here at Craigie Knowes, he's been doing it better & longer than most. We met in person for the first time earlier on in the year, ate a large amount of Italian food & chatted about music for a few hours before going to support our friends who were playing at Subculture. An unplanned but very much welcomed first meeting.

Raised on a diet of Soul, Jazz, Hip Hop, Punk and Reggae, turntables were a natural progression for this Bristol born, Welsh rooted DJ and Producer Owain K (Owain Kimber). After discovering the sounds of bootleg mixtapes and Techno as a youngster in the 90s, he's never been one for sitting still. 

Owain has kindly provided the tracklist for those of you so inclined, we're guessing most of you will be with the quality of the mix.

Our special guest this week on he Cadenza Music Source to Cycle podcast is Jane Fitz.  

A DJ, promoter and music journalist from East London, Jane has been making a name for herself since the early 90s, from spinning a mixture of house, soul & funk in Camden Town parties, to setting up the Peg nights in London a few years later.  Peg took its place on the underground deep house scene in the capital city, attracting guests like Charles Webster, Chris Duckenfield and Jimpster, and it’s been non-stop for Jane over the years.

A highly respected DJ, Jane has become a firm favorite amongst London’s clubbing fraternity.  She has also travelled extensively to play her music, taking in parties in Berlin, Bulgaria, Detroit, New York and Chicago, and beyond, as well as playing at her latest club venture, Night Moves.
