Story
Okomfo Anokye...
In the heart of the West African forests, when the trees still spoke the tongues of ancestors and the rivers sang the names of the gods, a child was born with feet shrouded in mystery. His name was Okomfo Anokye, and from his first breath, the wise knew he was no ordinary man, but a bridge between the world of spirits and the world of men.
He grew up amidst visions and sacred silences, learning to read the signs of fire, to converse with thunder, and to summon rain with a single word. But his destiny was not merely that of a priest: it was to found an empire.
Alongside Osei Tutu, a visionary warrior, Anokye forged the unity of the Akan clans under a single banner. But swords and alliances were not enough. They needed a symbol that could not be forged by human hands. Thus, one new moon night, Anokye raised his arms to the sky and, amidst chants and drums, invoked the Golden Stool.

The sky opened like a bud of light, and the Sika Dwa Kofi, the Sacred Stool, descended, floating in the air, enveloped in gold and mystery. It was no ordinary throne: it contained the soul of the Ashanti people. From then on, no king could rule without its blessing.

But Anokye did not stop there. In Kumasi, the heart of the new empire, he planted a sword in the ground, saying, "As long as this blade remains, the spirit of the Ashanti will not be broken." No one, neither king nor foreigner, has been able to move it since.
Okomfo Anokye disappeared as he had come: without a trace, like a whisper among the baobabs. Some say he ascended to heaven, others that he sleeps beneath the earth, awaiting the day when the Stool will shine once more.
