We are back with three young and talented producers from Berlin. Our first artist already released on Katermukke and with “Impuls“ Midas 104 shows us a heavy part of himself. It is a beautiful and dreamy piece of music, which grows up, beat by beat. It strokes your soul and it makes you dance and breath. Gently filtered electric pianos and a slinky bassline on it are making it really warm and melodic. 

We continue with a clubby number from Jonas Saalbach, where all elements come together as a dark beauty with easy and uplifting parts in it. “Mosaik“ is moving between a hard bassline and soothing synths. 

Second number of Jonas Saalbach on the EP is a collab with Tschoris. Strong tunes, clear vibes and suprising gimmicks are making “Arctic Front“ a perfect number for the shallow moments. You need some time to grasp the full power of this song, but it will stay in your head. 

With “Fokus“ from Midas 104 the four track Ep is completed. It starts quiet and it is getting a funky and deep one with epic keys and snatched chords. 

Einmusika022 will be out November 28th.

Wolf + Lamb & John Camp are no strange bedfellows. In 2013 John contributed to tracks on Wolf + Lamb Records, including his remix of Soul Clap's "Need Your Lovin" and his work on  No Regular Play's "Birdfeathers" making him a seminal part of the family. "Make Me Fall" is a timeless tune featuring the haunting vocal work of Patricia Edwards. Driving hi-hats are peppered with jazz saxophone leading the listener through soaring arpeggios that make it easy to fall in love with this track. On the flip Navid Izadi brings his own sound offering a dynamic spin to the original.

Glass Animals - Gooey (Wild Culture Remix)

Argentinian DJ and producer, Ernesto Ferreyra, provided Cadenza with a rich and inspirational album back in 2010, the intricate and balanced “El Paraíso De Las Tortugas” was a masterclass in minimal electronic dance.  Four years on, and Ernesto returns to Luciano’s label with the ‘Insight’ single, and a precursor to another album for the label, slated for October release.

“Voltage Poem” displays a huge progression for Ernesto, a stomping, elastic backbeat, peppered with live percussion, shakers and micro glitches dances around the mechanical funk of the bassline.  A Jamaican poet waxes lyrical, a gem of a vocal “with me riddim, with my rhyme, with me rough bassline, with me own sense of time”, as Ernesto get’s busy on the delays and reverbs, really dubbing out various elements and creating a real trip of a track.  A highly accomplished composition here from Ernersto, and one that really points to some of the goodies we can expect on his forthcoming long player.

On the flip, “There Is No Answer” is another playful slice of tripped out dance.  A solid groove and frenetic drum pattern is tied down with deep and melodic chords, a lone male voice asks the question (to which there is no answer?), static crackling and radio frequencies humming in the background whilst the hi-hats cut through sharp to keep the energy levels shining.

A great return from Ernesto, and a single that nicely builds up some anticipation for his second album for Cadenza, later this year.

As always Kling Klong gives space for new artists and supports upcoming talents. This time Martin Eyerer & Rainer Weichhold had no doubts signing this debut release from Stuttgart's dj/producer Ninetoes as 'Finder' is obviously a massive stand-out track which has the words 'summer hit' written all over it. So it was just easy to convince Leon and Re-UP from Italy to do the remixes and help to make this release even more oustanding.
