Multiple samples of Tierra Whack  Pretty Ugly extended cut with the addition of a mellotron track created with a Les Paul Custom/EHG C9 Organ Pedal recorded directly to PC The mellotron section includes a backing of a slowed sample of the opening piano riff. In addition the riff is also sampled, speeded up, duplicated and reversed as part of the intro. The vocal sampled with added reverb and hyper extended with pitch correction and phasing to add crashing wave and harmony effects,

STS 349 Mob Smith Assignment VII

For the final project I’ve regressed to the music that has been the background soundtrack of my life - thanks Dad! He introduced me to the joys of progressive rock (Hawkwind/Pink Floyd), heavy rock (Led Zeppelin/Rush/Queen), adult rock (Dire Straits) and synth-bands (Tangerine Dream/Brian Eno). 
I play guitar and have an extensive range of pedals and have developed an interest in synthesizers, sound generator and sequencers in general, thanks to Garageband in iPad.
The mellotron background effect (Long) is generated by guitar chords played through an EHX C9 Organ emulator slowly panned and mixed down. The single organ chord immediately prior to the heavy rock (Das Punka) section was created using the same pedal. The synth-sounds were produced using an arpeggiator in Garageband.
The guitar sections are both multi-tracked and recorded using a looper, reverb and panning effects on top of the chorus used in part 1 (twanger) were added in Ableton, with phaser and delay added to the overdriven guitar in part 2 (Das Punka).
It’s obvious I’m not a drummer but hat’s off to the late great Neil Peart!!!
All parts were recorded separately in Ableton and saved as .wav files before being imported into the final project.
