'Beef Dinner (On the Beach)' is an almost-forgotten novelty pop single from 1982, released by comedian Matthew Hayhurst and his minder/producer William Harrison under the pseudonym 'Mince Factory'.  The song was a smash hit, and reached the heady heights of No. 186 in the UK pop charts, and No.2 in The Netherlands. 'Mince Factory' released a couple more songs during the 1980s, such as "Thatcher Is Ace (My Iron Lady)" and "Our Cousin Gorbachev (Walls Not Bridges)", but eventually disbanded after struggling to recapture the magic of "Beef Dinner". They reunited in 2011 to release one final single, "Let's Shoot Bin Laden In His Garden", which was poorly received due to the crap nature of it. The whereabouts of both Hayhurst and Harrison remains unknown to this day.
