My Throbbing Heart

My throbbing heart has become Your bed, 
In the curves of my chest, I have hid Your dwelling,

I have left the universe, in its disorder
And abandoned everything, so I may live with You

I have no thought, nor opinion nor 
Any other desire, but to follow You

And my father Jacob, I know his secret; 
I know now how, he wrestled You

O you the kindest-hearted, how sweet are You, 
Exalted above all and feared, how glorious are you

O mighty One holding, a whip in your palm 
And your love for us yields tears for You

The universe cannot contain You, how small it is, 
How then can the heart be sufficient for You

I have left the universe, in its disorder
And abandoned everything, so I may live with You

I have left everything, my Lord except You, 
I have none but You in the sojourn of my life.

And I prevented my thoughts, from wandering, 
So wherever You are, there my thoughts will be

I have forgotten family and friends,
And also I have forgotten my soul in Your love

I have forgotten everything in Your love, 
O the joy of the heart, so don’t forget Your child

You are not far from my spirit which is
In the calmness of silence waiting for Your calling

You are truly in the Heavens
But every heart that lives in love is Your Heaven

This is my eye and I have closed it, 
From seeing everything so I could see You

And likewise my ear, I have covered it 
From hearing everyone so I could hear You.

How long till we realize it’s all worthless indeed?
Lord, teach me to be godly
Hear me call to thee 

He says to me “Be angry, and do not sin, my future heir

Your sacrifices of righteousness, don’t go unnoticed by Me
