Tomcraft - 20 Years - Out Tues. Feb 26 on Tommy Boy!

Tomcraft is still rocking the DJ platform after more than two decades since the start of his career. He’s merely traded in vinyl for CDs, and can rightfully claim to have been a driving force behind the history of electronic music. In the last 20 years he has paved the way as a DJ, performing at every major club and festival, a producer, releasing radio hits, and as a label manager, co-founding Great Stuff Recordings, now one of the best-known club labels in the scene.

With his album “20 Years” Tomcraft shows just how versatile his creativity is and has always been. Together with his studio partner Eniac, Tomcraft gives us 18 new – or nearly new – tracks. With a long career behind him, he didn’t want to miss the opportunity to transport 5 of his original releases into the year 2013. His remix of “Loneliness” has been relentlessly climbing to the top of national and international dance charts this year. Now a whole new generation of club-goers is shouting out that magical line “happiness seems to be loneliness...”

Stylistically Tomcraft can’t be pinned down into one genre: the solo tracks and collaborations on the album are simply too varied and diverse. Slower numbers with Dubstep bass lines like the epic “Killing Me” or the warm Deep House track “Keep Your Eyes From The Sun” share the limelight with Indie dance compositions the likes of “Hot On My Heel” and “Leave This Planet”. They are joined by superb Techno anthems like the single release “Supersonic”, Progressive House tracks like “The Joke” and the 20 Years Remix of “25.17” with its original vocals from Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction.

Each track goes hand-in-hand, regardless of genre or BPM, with his unique sound aesthetic, making it unmistakably “Tomcraft.” This DJ and producer can’t be cubby-holed; he gathers his inspirations from all ends of the electronic music spectrum and takes them to the next level with his very own trademark.
