Out of all the tapes I own from my collection this has to be one of the best.
I adore the work of UNKLE so this was a must to record back in 2002. It forms part of UNKLE'S essential mix for BBC Radio One, and with an introduction from Pete Tong it explains the origin of this mixtape. Enjoy, it's really quite special.

This is part of a project called Train Tracks. An archive of cassette tapes from my youth, digitally remastered for future generations.

@saintludo is a DJ and radio presenter from California via Italy, now based in London. A main staple at both foundation fm and Keep Hush. Raised on hip-hop and rap - now grime is the predominant element in her mixes, which are tied together by bounce, funky, bass and club beats - making her mixing a unique blend of vocal samples placed over unexpected beats and instrumentals.

Amongst many gigs, she was on the Princess Nokia Euro tour '20, played Alexandra Palace, Wireless festival, Boiler Room festival, and having appeared on BBC 1xtra, Kiss FM, NTS Radio, Reprezent, Dublab in LA, Balamii & more - you can catch her djing all over the UK and Europe.

A rare archive of Jungle, Drum & Bass, Hip Hop, House, Techno & a few other bits.

The name of this collection comes from the time I made these recordings. I was living with my parents in Romford and I used to record the tapes in my bedroom and then listen back to them in the morning on my commute to work in London’s Soho.

I'm a Street Photographer by trade, with a love for music.
