I took the original track processed it through the Borderlands ipad app and several FX on the Allen&Heath Qu-16 (plate reverb, ADT, "Kraftwerk Delay") and then played that out of my monitor speakers while people in my house were getting ready for bed, along with some sequential circuit six-track, and recorded the combination with my Zoom H6. I also took my bluetooth speaker around the house throughout the day while I made lunch and yardwork was going on outside. I recorded those and made a collage in Ableton.

Some sound snippets using the Serge ÷N COM module for eurorack. The Divide by N section generates a (voltage-controllable) staircase output that can be use for lots of interesting effects and Gameboy-like sounds. The pulse output is great for rhythmic patterns, but also quite nice to drive a Serge Variable Q or Variable Slope filter for very organic / acoustic sounds.

All 17 dices showed 6 (surprise!), so I took number 102: “Surf Waves” https://soundcloud.com/matthew-thomas-davis/waves?in=disquiet/sets/disquiet-junto-project-0430 from Matthew Thomas Davis (and zoundsabar).

I found this one difficult, because it already felt very rich in details and very finished, Matthew did so many different things with his guitar. I added some subtile pads (at least I hope they are mostly subtile) with the Tyrell N6 VST and tried to follow his improvisation, plus some kind of plaintive solo and two more waves from the original recording. I'm afraid I forced the end too much into something positive and transcendent, but it felt right considering how zoundsabar explains the circumstances of his field recordings in https://soundcloud.com/zoundsabar/vigil-sc-waves-disquiet0429 – I hope you like it anyway, guys.

Solitary Wave Ensemble [disquiet0431]

I continued the chilled out feeling that GijsW and mdh had created. Jammed along with a bit of guitar and organ. Seemed like a summer vibe as we, in the southern hemisphere, head into a very peculiar autumn.
