Newcomer Pie Eye Collective takes the epic album closer from 2019's Sonkei by Rōnin Arkestra and gives it the most forthright remix the band have received yet. Blending house and broken beat vibes with a fluidity and naturalness that completely belies how early the producer is in his career, Tempestuous Temperaments flies through huge piano stabs and massive horn loops. This is very big music. 

Rōnin Arkestra started life with de Clive Lowe wanting to create a project with some of his favourite Japanese musicians, unaware of the sound, shape or vibe it would manifest. Reaching out to his musician friends including Sauce81, they began recording at Red Bull Studio in Tokyo and the chemistry was instant, creating an impulsive sound that blended spiritual jazz and beat sensibilities heavy on the improvisation. 

“That’s the beauty of this collective - everyone is so great at what they do, playing to the music rather than their own egos and so open to the moment. That’s the heart of the ‘jazz’ in Ronin Arkestra - being wide open to the moment and letting the music happen as it wants to.” says de Clive-Lowe.

Today we've got a real treat for you with "On The Fly", a collaborative effort between daniel hayn, Paul Grant and Jonny Tobin. These incredibly talented multi instrumentalists joined forces to craft a silky, harmonically rich track packed with enough chords to knock your socks off, juicy synthesizer licks and a driving rhythm section full of intricate percussion. We're really happy with this one, and hope you can get down with the funk, cause these guys have a whole lot of it!

This is a piece of music resulting from a collaboration between Caturday and I. We realized "Uncanny Dissonance" as part of "All Nighter 6", an event organized by FORM (https://twitter.com/artbyform​) in which artists have 24 hours to produce a musical work, to the benefit of a charity (Child Abuse USA). This music was therefore produced in one go, in about 10 hours (we started late!). We are very proud to present the result of our night's work.


Our goal for this music was to achieve something very catchy, using the codes of the usual electro pop music, while incorporating advanced and surprising elements of structure and harmony.
