From the lips of his mother and queen

A queen that would lull him to sleep
For soft words are all  beggars can give
She’d cry ‘shepherd, my Lord God save your sheep!’
‘Abbadon take me let my lamb live!’

‘Fire, fire!’ On Mama’s silk lips
And she’s rushing to tear him away
Wood slips, arcane as he tips
From her arms and she’s pinned where he lay

He Heaves, cries, it’s heavy as lead
As her eyes bid farewell through the flames
So he sings ‘Love, Love!’ – sings her to bed
For she’d never sing those words again
