► Artist Bio ◄
Justin Schmidt, also known as Smiddy Jey, is a DJ from Frankfurt am Main, Germany. At the young age of 15, he first encountered electronic music and quickly realized its appeal. It was at an open-air event where he grasped the true meaning of techno – the shared love for music and passion for dancing. From that moment on, he frequented techno parties, closely observing the DJs and feeling inspired to create music himself.

A deep passion for music grew within him, and he found himself irresistibly drawn to the mixer, unable to tear himself away. Smiddy Jey's sound is characterized by dark atmospheres and driving rhythms, accompanied by hard kicks that make the dance floor quake. His sets are renowned for their captivating energy and their ability to take the audience on a hypnotic journey through the world of techno.

Since I was born I felt attracted to music and listen to almost all genres. In 1990 I fell in love with electronic music, started dreaming of spinning vinyl and bought my first records. I had access to equipment, but was too shy and nervous to pursue my dream.

In 2015 I started again, this time with digital DJing. First as DJane Octavia, I was playing Deep House, House and Tech House, and later also Techno, Hard Techno, Acid Techno and Industrial Techno. When I started playing techno, I got more recognition. I had the honour to perform on different radio shows and began to publish these sets on Soundcloud and Mixcloud: BASSINJECTION, CUEBASE-FM.DE, SHB-Showcase, Planet X and CLUBIO PRESENT FORWARD, Natural Instinct.

Since December 2017 I use DJane Octavia only for the other genres, and have a new name for techno: DJane Darkness. Since October 2019 I am a resident DJ for Keepers of the Labyrinth.

BIOGRAPHY:
Martin Kovár, also known as Matthew, is a hardtechno artist from Malacky – Slovakia. He was born on January 1993 and is a productive part of an young hardtechno generation. He began to play in 2006 in the age of 13 and through all the years he performed in countries such as Venezuela, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Hungary, Belgium, Switzerland, Netherlands, Austria, Germany, Croatia, Slovenia, Czech Republic and his homeland – Slovakia. Matthew performed side by side with the majority of leading hardtechno djs and also at festivals such as Elements Festival (BE), Impakt Festival (VZL), Liberty White (BE), Apokalypsa (CZ), Technoflights (VZL), USB Festival (DE), Svojsice (CZ), Beats 4 Love (CZ), Road To ECO Festival (SLO) and many others. Crazy show, fast mixing and powerful communication with the crowd are typical features of his strong performance.
Beside the mixing he is an active producer as well. In 2009 his first EP was released and in 2010 he estabilished his own digital label Young Blood Records. As a producer he cooperated with many well known names of an actual period (Instigator, Sepromatiq, Arkus P., Withecker, Psychodrums etc.).
In 2013 his own agency The Young Blood was estabilished. Besides the publishing work, the agency also involves activities connected with the booking of some very talented artists, organization of events and parties at all. Since this very year he also acts as Locomativ (4 decks, 2 mixers, effectors), the new project formed by Matthew and a belgian guy Mattias Bulik ‘aka Dualizers.
