A year ago, we recorded our first joint track with Ilaria (https://soundcloud.com/crazycompass/ilaria-boffa-foreign), and then we agreed that we would do another one later in which each of us will read own poem in native language. Everything coincided. "We translated our voices into exact references and wording. Now, hear."

TRADUZIONI (Ilaria Boffa)

Una precisa geografia di pioppi bianchi
frassini e aceri circonda quest’area fluviale.
Narrazione di fruscii, conversazioni rumorose.
Traduzioni. Ciò che sentiamo e il linguaggio
udibile implicano indagini
sui modi di ascolto dell’altro.
In dubbio l’affettività, il riverbero degli oggetti
che scontra soggetti oltre noi.
Dentro quei metri cubi di suolo e aria
il suono prende spazio, costruisce e colpisce.
Neuro-trasforma e impatta la plasticità
delle cose.
Abbiamo tradotto le nostre voci in
riferimenti e formulazioni. Ora, ascoltami.

TRANSLATIONS 

A clear geography of silver poplars
ashes and maples surrounds this fluvial area.
A narrative of rustles, chatting loudly.
Translations. What we hear and the language
that makes it audible imply investigations
on others’ listening modes.
We question affectivity, objects’ reverbs
crashing into beings beyond us.
Inside those cubic metres of soil and air
noise spacialises, builds and hits.
It neuroshapes and impacts the plasticity
of things.
We translated our voices into exact
references and wording. Now, hear.
