I've Got to Try V2

A slightly reworked version of The Circuit, still the first song I've written beginning to end. Some new chords, some changed lyrics and a bridge to accommodate the back-heavy criterion for week 6 of Pat Pattison's Songwriting course.

The Circuit

Already the butterflies start to kick in						(F)
Stepping down to an underground bar						(F)
And I look to the folk who have already been				(F)
As I cling to my favourite guitar							(F)

Coz I’ve told myself over and over again					(F)
That I’ve already made it this far							(F)
And as soon as I sit and I set to begin						(F)
That I won’t even see who they are						(F)

Well there on the stage is a Japanese girl					(F)
With a twist on a traditional song							(F)
And she takes us away to a faraway world					(F)
Where we know we would never belong					(F)

And next on the mic is a king of a man					(F)
Who was sat with a beautiful blonde						(F)
And it seems like he has the whole room in his hand			(F)
But the poor fucker’s got his words wrong					(F)
