For me, the most exiting thing about field recording is – hearing. 
Learning to listen and to discover more and more subtle shades of the sounds of nature. 
Raindrops are fascinating. Have you ever looked at them in a sonogram? If you do so, you will see that each single drop has a breathtaking range of  frequency, starting perhaps at 40 HZ and going up way beyond of our capability of hearing. And every single drop has its own delicate mix of these frequencies – the sound of each end every drop is as unique as perhaps the crystal structure of a snowflake is unique.
Recording helps me to discover this with my ears, and sometimes with my gear.
Her are drips and drops in the night of December 31, 2020, during lockdown, very silent…I was just sitting outside on a farm in southern Germany, just listening. And with microphones in my  ears. So, the recording is binaural, headphones are necessary. Just listen, if you like. Just everyday drops. Just everyday miracles.
