2016 marks a New Year and new sound for London based Reggae Soulsters Shanty with the release of their new single ‘Nowhere To Nowhere’ Introducing the newest addition to the band of brothers Grime MC ‘Levi’ aka ‘Big Strive’ on MC and hype man duties. 

Off the back of their first EP titled ‘Leave Me Out’ Shanty toured all around the UK & Europe playing shows to masses and appearing at major festivals including Glastonbury, Outlook, Kendal Calling, Boomtown, Ostroda Reggae Festival, Secret Garden Party and more. 

 Alongside support from Fred Perry Subcultive and Clash magazine the group has been featured on BBC Introducing’s ‘Artist of the Week’ as well as championed by legendary tastemaker David Rodigan on BBC 1Xtra. Later this month Shanty embark on a UK tour to promote the release of Nowhere To Nowhere. This is taken from a record the band are currently working on with Producer and Engineer John Cornfield who’s worked with the likes of Oasis, Stone Roses, Razorlight, Muse and many more…
