Harsh noise piece created using a violin, a BOSS FZ-5 and various forced errors, audio scrubbing and processing techniques.

White Box

Another long-form ambient piece entitled 'I Can't Describe An Illustration.' A shifting textural landscape, perfect for abstract thought and walking the city streets at night. The tinkering noises you can hear are various objects placed in the pathway of an electric fan, the ambience itself is a constantly evolving live performance on my MX49, using a modulation delay and the ADSR to 'hold' chords whilst changing patches. As always, this piece is completely improvised.

I Can't Describe An Illustration

As the name suggests, a collection of moods, inspired mainly by the natural order of things - decay, death and renewal. 

No MIDI, everything you hear comes from an instrument that takes up tangible space. Any stuttering, disintegration, hiss or warping you may hear is intentional. Logic 9 was used, all instruments recorded by myself. Tracks recorded between February and September 2018.

'Sea That Has Become Known' is an improvised journey that steers a slow course across a number of shifting textures and sonic landscapes. I use the word 'ambient' ostensibly, however its intention is not necessary to heal, provide comfort or aid in meditation. Some parts may be uncomfortable, some textures are oblique in the way they converge. Hiss, warping and disintegration is intentional and meant as a direct expression of how I feel, and you may feel the same, or you may not. Rather than escapism, this piece encourages the listener to explore a state of realisation. Realisation of a shared human experience, and the imperfect and sometimes cruel path that it plots alongside harmony and peace.
