The Alchemist

I personally love the game 'Celeste'. I've spent at least spent 60 hours playing this game and I don't regret a second. Lena Raine, the music composer for Celeste's A-sides, did an outstanding job capturing the tone and feel of the game with her elegant use of the piano. For the B-side tracks, she reached out to several friends and other musicians to have them remix the A-sides for a chapter. Ultimately, this playlist is a just a sign love for the game and the OST. Since there weren't many tracks on soundcloud, I wanted to let other fans, like me, enjoy the soundtrack freely here!

I wrote and recorded this arrangement of the Secret of Monkey Island opening theme, which is one of my favorite pieces of music from one of my favorite video games. I hope you dig it!

I still remember when I realized the Monkey Island CD-ROM would also play the game's soundtrack if I put it in my stereo. After that, I spent more time listening than I'd spent beating the game. Returning to the music all these years later, I was struck by how intricate and interesting the arrangement is - there are all these neat counter-melodies and curlicues in there underneath the main melody; some pretty hip rhythmic stuff in there, too. I tried my best to capture all of that in this arrangement.

CREDITS/INSTRUMENTS

The Secret of Monkey Island soundtrack was composed by Michael Land, Barney Jones, Andy Newell, and Patrick Mundy.

This arrangement featured the following instruments: Flute, pennywhistle, melodica, whistling, vocals, soprano/alto/tenor saxophones, clarinet, xylophone, handclaps, fake marimba, avocado shaker, tambourine, drum set, electric bass, acoustic & electric guitar.

I recorded everything off and on over the course of a few weeks in my home studio, using Logic Pro X for editing and mixing.

The Secret of Monkey Island (Multi-Instrumental Cover)

This time I got the official Soundtrack to 'Bioshock Infinite'.
Therefore I had to remove the Soundtrack for Persona 2 Innocent Sin - in case anybody is looking for a song from that specific OST - drop me a message.
