Words Of A Song

A collection of songs from the "Bedtime Stories" CD release party held at Conundrum Music Hall on Sunday, May 4th, 2014... this was the band's first public performance and the first public performance of the Bedtime Stories album, which was released at the event and given away to attendees.  Ironically, two of the standout tracks from the album "Long Lines" and "Words of a Song" were left off this compilation, as other songs rose to the top on this recording due to the full ensemble treatement.  The lineup:

Jason Page - acoustic guitar, vocals
Joe Vernon - drums
Chance Glass - electric guitar and sonic colorings
Austin Gaboriau - double bass

Everly Brothers - Love Hurts (covered by Matthew Smith)

This was performed and recorded by Matthew Smith on Saturday, June 7th, 2014 at Woodbox Studios during a late night session.   

"Please Help me I'm Falling" was originally written by Don Robertson and Hal Blair, and then Hank Locklin had a hit with it in 1960.  Three years later, the Everly Brothers recorded it for their "Country Hits" album.
