Following the release of his debut EP, Coldest Winter, Matthew Vaughn teams up with engineer Yogi Split once again for a far more lively body of work. With more acoustic production from AlumCreekSurfTeam, his production credits are now shared with fellow Columbus native super producer KMB. He also incorporates features on two tracks from artists Tripp Fontane of collective Underdog Academy and Keisha Soleil, the healer, the writer, the singer.

This is the third season in Matthew Vaughn's collection of work following "Coldest Winter" and "In The Key Of Spring." "Son" gives the listener insight on Vaughn's daily conflicts and inner battles. It is an extremely reflective and vulnerable analysis of this slowly ending summer along with summers of the past. Vaughn wishes to be heard and to push others to examine their own lives through his work, and possibly even to create something out of it themselves. There's only one seaon left...
