Laurent Sparks is a dj currently based in Mulhouse, East France.
Started mixing techno music back in '97, but over the years has moved into more organic house sounds. Between 2000/03, Laurent and a his friends opened an record store named "Vital Records " in France.
To this day he continues sharing good music with the world and running his own podcast series called Little Routine Series.

This mix is part of the annual collaboration with Radio Gladys Palmera in Spain, to whom I am grateful for the space and the continuity of this dumbbell.
This curatorship of a search for warm and relaxing sounds in jazz, delicacy in electronic music and especially in house. It's a small sample of my favorite current producers in conjunction with some past ones, making a mix of sweet and sour flavors.

Real Tone Radioshow by Franck Roger

Though they are only in their mid-20s, brothers Gerardo and Emanuel Cedillo have been intimately involved in dance music for over a decade. They got their start as one half of Kry-Lon, a duo that sat at the forefront of the “new rave” scene in his hometown of Tijuana, Mexico. In the years since, Cedillo brothers had grown enormously as producers DJ's and multi-instrumentalists, and keep themselves  busy running the label Vicario Musique Recordings. As Soul Of Hex, they conjure up astral deep house odysseys, drawing from the raw sensuality and restraint of classic house and techno, while incorporating jazzy flourishes and colorful shifts in tone, rhythm and texture. In 2014, Larry Heard himself stepped in to remix the Soul Of Hex track “Lip Reading,” and their DJ schedule has been hectic ever since, including an appearance at Amsterdam’s Dekmantel Festival in 2017.

It's hard to overstate the impact this man and his label BBE have on our scene. Is it 25 years already? So many incredible moments that influenced generations of DJ's and music lovers. Pewrsonally I would have to cite the Strange Games and Funky Things series featuring legends DJ Spinna, Kenny Dope and Mr Thing. Jazzy Jeff's Hip Hop forever. Dimitri From Paris with several entries absolutly knocking the art of editing and remixing disco classics out of the park. Dilla's solo effort Welcome To Detroit (Thats just been re-released as a tasty 7" bundle). Kon and Amir's visionary Off Track series.... all of these have been game changing in their own rights but only make about 1% of the output of BBE. 
Obviously Pete has more dimensions to him than "just" A&Ring one of the most legendary labels there is but let's stick to the music and follow him on this week's journey as he kindly has contributed the latest addition to the series. Thank you and enjoy!
