You wouldn’t find pearls on the beach. If you really want a pearl you will have to dive for it. For over five years we’ve been browsing through boundless seas and branched forests to find powerful gems leaving a sharp impression while taking us on a journey. They infatuate, fascinate and delight the listeners falling in love with the works of art. What makes the quest most fun: the more unknown the artists, the more truthful the productions. After all, it is music that makes us do things we usually wouldn’t dare. It is a whirl we really like to jump into like a big and swinging web of silk and sorrow.

Perlen liegen nicht am Strand. Wenn du eine Perle begehrst, musst du dafür tauchen. Seit mehr als fünf Jahren tauchen wir in unendlichen Meeren, durchforsten verzweigte Wälder, um Musikstücke zu finden, die einen auf eine Reise mitnehmen und tief beeindrucken. Sie betören, faszinieren und entzücken ihre Hörer, die sich in diese Kunstwerke verlieben und sich in ihnen verlieren. Und das schönste an dieser Suche ist: je unbekannter die Künstler, desto mehr sprechen die Exemplare für sich. Die Musik ist es nämlich, die uns Dinge tun lässt, die wir uns sonst nicht wagen würden. Sie ist ein Wirbel und ein großes, schwingendes Netz aus Seide und Sorge, in das wir uns gerne fallen lassen.

Nach der ersten Compilation – “A Collection of Unreleased Pearls” – kommt passend zum Sommer die zweite Veröffentlichung von trndmsk raus: 22 Stücke von Musikern, Produzenten und Komponisten, die sich der elektronischen Musik verschrieben haben. Exclusive Between Ourselves 'Red Mist (Ruede Hagelstein's Boost Cut)'

After André Lodemann's highly appreciated album 'The Deeper You Go' it's Irish duo Between Ourselves that follow the label-head's steps and see Davin Coady and Geoff Foley release their 'Red Mist EP' on Best Works. The four tracker, consisting of two originals, André's edit of the title track as well as Ruede Hagelstein's take on 'Red Mist', depicts the sheer potential and sound sophistication of the Waterford-boys Davin and Geoff. Watergate-resident Ruede Hagelstein's approach to 'Red Mist', which he simply called Boost Cut, does just what the working title suggests: it strips down the elements, emphasizes the carefully-chosen ones and adds a crucial darker tone and atmosphere to the track. Kind of like boosting the mental component while reducing the original's melodic elements to an essential minimum in the beginning and middle-part before allowing them to become the carrying soundscapes in the course and flow into a spheric peak that contains elegancy and rawness.

Between Ourselves's EP 'Red Mist' will be released November 9th, 2018 on Best Works Records.

Acid Pauli’s unique brand of organic, psychedelic electronic music has found the perfect home on the label he runs with Nico Stojan. 
Mainacht, the latest release, sees Martin Gretschmann in playful mood - the title track skips along in a breezy, upbeat fashion, peppered with bass licks, congas and synth squiggles - an aural pick-me-up for our times. 
Ahmed locks into a groove from the start, fully utilizing Gretschmann’s knack for accentuating the space between the notes. Using only a few elements he creates a powerful moment of euphoric excitement. 
Legends of Saturn again sees the maestro exploring various bass guitar tones and patterns, creating a track 
that balances a live feel with perfectly shaped electronics. 
Completing the EP, Abrains is cut from the same cloth - a bouncy groove meets trippy effects and melodic snippets suspended in space.

Interlude

Fur Coat’s Oddity imprint seeks to continue its quality musical output. For the thirteenth release of the label, they welcome Esoteric Circle who present a stacked package of Melodic Techno, with two remixes to boot.

Esoteric Circle is born from the minds of two French brothers, Julien and Raphael Piacentino. Bringing their emotions together into a new and innovative sound, they focus on elaborate synth melodies and minimal percussive sounds to create tracks aimed directly at the dance-floor.

The Parisian duo present four original tracks on the EP, the first of which is ¨Odissea¨. Characterised by deep basslines and moving melodic progressions this sets the tone for the EP, transporting you to the deeper moments on the dance-floor. Moving forward “Matina del Amor” offers a faster paced setting, agile percussion programming pushes the track onwards taking the listener with it on its journey.

Lastly “Tomorrow Is In Your Hands” the title track mixes up the offerings. Opting for a two step style beat, this switches the script perfectly, developing synths over the top of the off kilter beat provide an emotive and thought provoking tracks. Lastly “Night Appearance” rounds of the package, a slower and impassioned track which brings set ending moments to mind.

Joining the brothers on the package are Julian Wassermann and Remcord, neither are strangers to the Oddity family and both provide remixes of “Odissea” and “Tomorrow Is In Your Hands” respectively.
Julian’s remix provides a lighter edition to the original, whilst Remcord’s remix offers a darker and deeper sound, both dovetailing on the record nicely. 

Esoteric Circle have Putting forward a strong and soundly compiled EP. An expansive pack, offering a large amount and tying in perfectly with the sound that Oddity has been making its name with.
