Hot on the heels of a successful ADE, which saw him perform a to sell-out club nights and thronging crowds, Dutch house DJ Michael Mendoza join forces with New York City duo NXNY on their debut release on Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s Smash The House. The hotly anticipated ‘Get Down’ is set for official release December 13th, following a rapturous premiere during NXNY’s live set at Ushuaïa this summer. 

Tribal drums accompanied by understated electro flavours kickstart the track, before the vocal line carries the big build toward an irresistible drop. The command ‘G-G-G-Get Down’ ushers in an electro house soundwave that would engulf the kind of club / lounge hotspots its creators are known to frequent, while the unrelenting bassline guarantees to keep people moving. Approaching a decade as their NXNY iteration, the graphic designers turned DJs have secured residencies at some of their hometown’s swankiest hotspots including Le Souk, Greenhouse and The Dream Hotel, bringing their signature blend of tech house, progressive, electro and hip hop to revellers on a weekly basis. Top that with rising star Michael Mendoza, who stunned crowds at ADE this year dropping track’s including his 2018 smash hit ‘Boggle’ featuring Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, and it should come as no shock that the underground stylings of both parties culminate in a certified club banger as strong as ‘Get Down’. 

With influences spanning from Swedish House Mafia to The Martinez Brothers, and a handful of electronic styles in their arsenal, Michael Mendoza and NXNY bridge the gap between the dance-centric scene of Amsterdam to the underground heart of New York City with ‘Get Down’.
