Dear friends, finally again another release by Quenya Projects.
After a lot of hard work we think we’ve managed to create a real Orchestral version with real voices of Bilitis 2014 (v4). 
This time we’ve done a mass collab with April Gibson (solo vocals), Imperial Choir (backing vocals) and The Orchestra helping us to get a real orchestral sound, although we couldn't exchange / replace all the instruments yet.

We all sincerely hope you’ll love it just as much as we did making this release, and we hope you can also advice us too, or grant us with your comments and critics, it will help us to evolve even more.

The Assignment of Bilitis 2014:

Make a 2014 version of the theme song Bilitis composed by Francis Lai in 1977, and give it your own signature still keeping the main structure.
Replace all synth sounds for orchestral sounds, piano’s and/or Guitars.
Create 4 different (opus) pieces/versions within 1 end production, and make a new intro.
At least 1 part should have a choir doing the lead, for the ending part create a crescendo/percussion style.

Matt and I made 6 different versions, and kept on working to get the sync spot on and still give it our own signature, and tried different tempo’s and instruments, but it just wouldn’t work properly.
Finally after so many different version we managed to come with this version, and I have so much respect for Matt for all the patience he had with me and all the work he has done on this creation.
It was one of the most difficult tasks for us both, especially because I am still not 100%, so a lot depended on Matt’s skills and time, I could only explain him over the phone or emails what needed to be done, and I think he did it splendidly, and his improving skills and patience with me, made it possible for us to finish it.

Much more mellow, ambient approach. Guitar instrumental with more classical/jazz elements with the piano and strings being the vocal point. Will possibly re-do the guitar solo at some point. Enjoy :)
