When I was younger I used to play in various bands, mostly as a singer and guitarist with average performance. Especially songwriting always was a lot of fun to me. Unfortunately nowadays I don´t really have a lot of opportunities/time to do so.

I also no longer play in bands and so I decided to rerecord some of the ideas that came to me over the years, by myself at home at my computer. Especially those who never made it on the 1993-CD of my former band or those where no proper recording exists at all.

I use my iMac and Logic to create some software instruments, such as drums, bass and keyboards and add some hand-strummed guitars and voices as good as I can.

In the end it´s not quite the same like playing in a real band, but still a lot of fun.

Als ich jünger war, habe ich in verschiedenen Bands gespielt, meist als Sänger und Gitarrist mit durchschnittlichen Fähigkeiten. Besondere Freude hatte ich immer am Schreiben von Liedern. Leider komme ich heutzutage kaum noch dazu.

Ich spiele auch nicht mehr in Bands, daher habe ich beschlossen, ein paar der Ideen, die ich über die Jahre hatte, besonders die, die es nicht auf die 1993er CD meiner ehemaligen Band geschafft hatten und von denen es gar keine brauchbaren Aufnahmen mehr gab, zu Hause am Computer noch einmal neu einzuspielen.

Ich nutze einen iMac und Logic um mit Hilfe der Software Instrumente wie Drums, Bass und Keyboard zu programmieren und dann handgespielte Gitarren und Gesangsspuren hinzuzufügen - so gut ich eben kann.

Das ist sicher nicht genau so, wie in einer Band zu spielen, macht aber dennoch sehr viel Spass.
