Duval Timothy’s Bleep mix is both stylistically varied and aesthetically harmonious. A whole variety of genres are traversed here - in the first handful of tracks alone we find Timothy blending Galcher Lustwerk’s haunted deep-house, Mr. Mitch’s clattering techno-dancehall and Grouper’s astral-plane ambiences, while the rest of the selections take in everything from J Dilla to Coby Sey, Augustus Pablo’s heavy dub to Lyra Pramuk’s avant-garde vocal music. Much like Duval Timothy’s studio output, the London-based artist gracefully joins the dots between these ostensibly disparate musics, lacing his own deft, jazz-flecked compositions throughout the mix in order to provide the listener with further context.

Unorthodox sounds intertwine to create an expansive aural journey; one of connection and elevation. Pulling from across a variety of genres, Murge’s influences are wide ranging and free flowing; from the Cosmic era of disco to psychedelic jazz, from Latin rhythms fused with the elasticity and inclusiveness of world-inspired music to field recordings of ambient samples, captured during his own global travels.

Okayama/Japan based producer Yunosuke Senoo aka Lycoriscoris has been producing electronic music since 2009.  His subtle fusion of organic melodies and futuristic electronic production has won him numerous support from many DJs and introduced on KEXP, NTS Radio, BBC radio, and through DUMMY Mag. Aalbum 'Flight' was released on Anjunadeep. He is always challenging to discover the possibility of new music, and to keep painting a mental picture. by using Analogue and Digital equipment.

With roots in Leipzig and her current home, Berlin, @lux-io’s profile has been steadily growing over recent years. Following a 2019 that saw her tour through Japan, China and Taiwan, play her first gig in Berghain, and perform at the final Nachtdigital, her past year has been – for obvious reasons – a little more introspective than anticipated.

Her mix for Patterns of Perception fittingly explores the torn and disconnected states recent events have thrown us into, magnifying and intertwining with the still, introverted atmospheres of deep winter.

Tiptoeing on reminiscences of club nights past, this mix sketches subtle lines between different places, spaces, moods, and times, while also bringing together a number of tracks that have been accompanying Lux on her travels for years, never before quite meeting the opportunity to find their place in a mix.

Vril spoils us on his Bleep mix. All of the tracks delivered by the German producer here are either Vril originals or remixed by him, and almost all of this material is unreleased at the time of writing. A generous offering indeed, but what’s more impressive still is how Vril knits together these broken-beat techno joints into a cinematic whole, one which maintains a propulsive forward thrust even as it explores dub-techno scientifics, dystopian synthscapes and the keys-led quirkiness of late-90s IDM. The fact that Vril bookends the mix with passages of weightless, widescreen ambience emphasises the evocative qualities of his music still further.

Alfonso Pomeda, better known as F-on, has been a stalwart of Madrid's underground music scene for more than two decades. Whether through his firstborn label Downbeat, whom he co-founded alongside Jose Rico and Urtzi more than a decade ago, or through his own imprint Alpenglüchen, F-on is uncompromising when it comes to the deeper sides of House, Techno, and Ambient. Alfonso's broad musical knowledge can be recognized in both his productions and DJ sets, where he flawlessly blends contemporary, forward-thinking electronic music with elements from the turn of the century.
The mix F-on made for us is a true masterpiece from the depths of House and Techno. Immaculately executed, this two-hour timeless journey is an ode to all those late after hours we all long for.
