Hot off the back of debut chart smash ‘So Freakin’ Tight’ that jumped high into the official chart earlier this year, UK duo Tough Love are back to present their brand new single alongside R&B legend Ginuwine with the remake of the 1996 classic and chart smash ‘Pony’ out on 7 August.
 
‘Pony (Jump On It)’ is a one of a kind release, seeing the R&B legend re-record his vocals on this massive classic, it feels as though this could be even bigger than before. It sees Tough Love bring the original firmly into the contemporary dance arena and features fresh, updated vocals from Ginuwine to boot.
 
With over twenty years in the game as a multi-platinum selling artist with 10 studio albums and multi Grammy nominations, Ginuwine is one of the genres greats. It seems only right that he’d entrust his original record to an act who have solidified their place in the UK’s dance scene with their consistent underground releases as well as demonstrating their ability to stand up in the UK charts with their break out hit  ‘So Freakin Tight’. Using the iconic hook as a precursor for the track's standout crescendo, Ginuwine’s vocals feel as fresh as ever too.
 
Tough Love’s Alex & Stef have been championed for their remixing ability and their penchant to make fun, '90s inspired house records. Support has already come in from the dance music tastemakers over at BBC Radio 1 - with the likes of Danny Howard and Annie Mac regularly spinning ’So Freakin’ Tight’ - and both labelling Tough Love as an act to look out for in the coming year.
 
Following on from their sold out Get Twisted label party at Ministry of Sound, the duo also have just been announced as residents for Sankey’s new Thursday night party series, Redlight, sharing the bill with the likes of S-man aka Roger Sanchez, DJ EZ, MJ Cole and Matt Jam Lamont. Numerous festival appearances, including stand out dates at High Definition Festival and SW4, are also on the horizon in 2015 too.

Breakbeat Paradise Recordings is pleased to finally welcome to the label a true veteran in the funky breaks scene: Mr PulpFusion with the huge 12” vinyl release Funk Never Sleeps. Straight out of Switzerland, PulpFusion has been producing funky jams since the early days of nu funk, and this time around he has brought a true dream team of remixers for this enormous 7-track EP. On the flip side he has teamed up with another skilled funk producer Morris Chestnuts from Bristol as well as Producer and Rapper Imagine This from New Zealand to help complete this funk fest of a release.

PulpFusion has countless albums and EPs under his belt and done remixes for Ed Royal and Mr Bird & Tal M Klein as well as running the successful label Pig Balls Records. He has a unique sound that has strong roots in electric psychedelic funk mixed with beats and breaks.

The remix duties are in good hand with all experts within their fields starting with DJ Maars from down under, who is true master in skanky reggae mash-ups - Mr. Rory Hoy who is skillfully keeping alive the sounds of the big beat era and finally a true BBP all-star Jayl Funk who specializes in anything funky for the dancefloor.

The Snugs are a collaboration of DJs, musicians and artists from the dirty south west country who, aside from running one of the best nights in Bath, play some of the heaviest funk, soul, hip hop, reggae and rock n roll known to man.

The production powerhouse for this exciting project is none other then Kelvin Swaby of The Heavy.

On vocals we have Hannah Symons who's amazing voice you may recognise, as she is currently competing on BBC's The Voice. She was also co-writer of Rudimentals 'Powerless' and sang Temple Cloud's 'One Big Family' which featured on a KFC advert as well as appearing in UK charts.

Kaligola Disco Bazar is a seven piece italo-balkan beats orkestar from Rome, Italy.
Their sound is about gypsy melodies, reshaped italian folk, electro swing, reggae beats and dub vibes all mashed together and fully shaken with high energy. What comes out is an blend of world beats with complex arrangements and a frienzied attitude!!
It is an eclectic crew that has undertaken a journey through folk and electronic beats. A brass section that interweaves with gypsy sounds made of darbuka and nomadic spirit accordion. Balkan Beats and echoes of dub spinning inside the electronic sequences. Six musicians and one DJ. A musical trip across innovation and tradition, roots and progress.

It was 2011 when musician and radio DJ Andrea Cota a.k.a. Mondo Cane, brought together an ensemble of daredevil musicians for an experiment that soon revealed itself to be a powerhouse of experimental sounds. Club oriented and retro-futuristic beats find themselves arm-in-arm with traditional Italian melodies that themselves are filtered through the mesh of Eastern European contamination. A return to the future going between the Balkans, Arab countries and Italian traditions.
