Out of tranquillity and contemplation, Rampa is reaching out once again. To seek contact, to give and take energy, to offer an even mind-expanding touch. All in guise of two new tracks that, quite fittingly, make this “The Touch” EP and #35 within the Keinemusik release-catalogue.
The title track on A combines all the reflective qualities of the newer Rampa-sound to a mantra that soon will be chanted collectively across dancefloors all around the world. He thoroughly is aiming for the intensifying pull into deepness of a perfect loop. He’s letting go of anything redundant like all too distracting rhythmic elements and therefore opens space for an OM-like, bass-deep interplay of synth-notes and meditational sounds in the background.
“528 Hz” on the other side borrows its name from the concept of the Solfeggio Frequencies. Within the scale of supposedly healing sounds, this very figure is known to be the frequency of repair, representing the energy of love. And an ardent declaration of love this tune is indeed. Within the sound-vocabulary of recent Rampa-releases it might be the logical next chapter after “Trust”. A synth-space- odyssey, emphasized by e-drum-highlights, pulse-quickening tribal-frenzy and a supernova-like blast of energy culminating after the break.

PREMIERE: Fractal Architect - Cascade (Original Mix) [Wood]

Matt McLarrie returns to Daylight Robbery with the ‘Curtain Twitcher’ EP. After previously releasing on various imprints such as Elrow Music, Material Series, MadTech Records, King Street Sounds, KMS Records to name a few and making waves on DRR037 with his remix of Alex Ranerro’s ‘Tell You’, it is time to bring his sound to the label once again with two original tracks. Both ‘Curtain Twitcher’ and ‘SnoZberries’ are big and brash. With driving percussion and a relentless groove, both tracks pack a powerful punch.

Releasing between them on a number of labels including MadTech Records, Resonance Records, Cr2 Records, Criminal Hype, Twisted Fusion, it’s exciting to see to see Mr Jefferson returning to the label with his remix of ‘Curtain Twitcher’. He takes the sound to a darker place and pick up the pace, a track that moves with a relentless groove.
Another return to the label with Ian Jay having already made waves with DRR041 ‘Be With You’ EP. Ian Jay has been creating a bigger stir than the turtle rap with his sound coming out on a number of imprints including Lost Records, Simma Black, Nervous Records & Love Not Money Records. He takes the sound of ‘Curtain Twitcher’ to more housey paths, resonating a unique feel whilst still retaining the flowing pulse of the original.

As you are about to read, I have not paid for a professional bio and I am not going to talk about myself in the third person. I am a beard shaker from Glasgow, Scotland where I produce deep, chunky, jazzy, tribal, spiritual vibrations. I am either in control of the music or strutting about the dance floor like a confused flamingo mixed with a nervous spring onion. You may need good quality drugs to enjoy my music - poor quality drugs may also work.

My vibrations have found their way onto some of the most respected underground labels in the world – Elrow Music, KMS Records, Nite Grooves (King Street Sounds), Great Stuff (VA), Material Series, Simma Black, Madtech (MTDL), Toolroom (Ibiza VA), iRecords, InHouse, Flashmob, Younan Music and more. I also co-own record label Cueca Recordings with Jonathan David (CAN).

My track "Jazz Kneecaps" reached #1 in the Traxsource Deep House charts in 2018 and I was in the top 100 best selling deep house producers on Traxsource in 2018, 2019 & 2020. I have officially remixed Wally Lopez, Darren Emerson (Underworld), Kevin Yost, Iban Montoro & Jazzman Wax, Saeed Younan & Charles Ramirez. 

My music has also been remixed by heavy hitters Joeski, Demuir, Ellroy and Hauswerks. I now have 4 vinyl releases with 2 on Material Series alongside Danny Serrano, Raffa FL, and Eskuche & Nu Sky. My mum turned one of them into a cake stand and another one into a clock. Probably make more money selling them that way.
