Matteo Michelangelo is an Italian born singer songwriter. 
His love for music is a mixture between Ennio Morricone’s soundtracks for western movies, Bob Dylan’s, Tom Wait’s and Leonard Cohen’s storytelling and Nirvana’s energy.
He has started to write songs when he was 12, feeling the need to sing what he couldn’t say to people around him. He always says: “When I have first started to sing I was really scared to share what I was feeling deep inside me with other people: so scared! I was afraid that even my neighbours could hear me singing that I used to whisper my songs. Then I started to go to punk gigs.”
Michelangelo has always loved to read from poetry such as Baudelaire, Wisława Szymborska, Giuseppe Ungaretti, Cesare Pavese, Thomas Elliott. 
In the meantime, he has spent a lot of time playing his guitar, reading books and poems, writing songs and playing them in little stinky pubs and music venues in front of lovable tipsy crowds. He has been playing as many gigs as possible in Italy and England.
He is a classical trained musician (he has studied classical composition because he wanted to have a better, deeper understanding of music).
