Matt Munroe was born in Cape Cod MA. Growing up in Vermont, the hills of New England provided a landscape for adventure and imagination. He began playing guitar at 15 and his love for music developed through his experiences moving to New York at 19 and then to Los Angeles at 24. This album is a reflection of those experiences. Tidal Waves, the title track, is a warning, to his beloved sister followed quickly by Red Flag which is a more upbeat track but carries with it the pleadings of a man who has been broken by love. Nomad is the climax of the EP telling a story of two brothers, one a nomad and the other more steadfast and true, and their mother. Please Be Easy On Me leaves us with a sense of "turning over a new leaf."
