This week I am releasing the first piece of original music that I have put out in over 5 years and I truly cannot describe how good it feels to say that! I started this particular song about a year ago, and after just a few days of work, I decided to not release it because it did not exactly “fit the style” I was going for on this project. However, after months of beating my head against a wall trying to figure out how to make the “right” kind of music, I realized that my mind was completely in wrong place. Ultimately, I made the decision to take a step back from this line of thinking, so that I could take a step forward in the direction of creating more meaningful music. I don’t know when I started trying to make music that fits inside a box, but I have been trying it long enough to realize that this simply does not work for me. So from here on out I’m knocking down the walls I have built to limit myself and starting on a path of judgement-free creation. I just want to once again show the world what I’ve been working on without all the pent up fears. And I am not making any promises on what I will have tomorrow, when it will be ready, or what it’s going to look or sound like, but I can promise you it will come directly from the heart and anyone riding with me on this journey will be met with nothing but love, always!
