EATING LIKE A KID - Makeout Videotape

Here's the full theme song for my web series Sublo and Tangy Mustard. I recorded it back in January 2015 shortly after deciding to make the series, and it's supposed to evoke the slightly depressing mundane existence of working at Subpar.

The song came to me while walking alone at night in Toronto, but I took inspiration from these songs:
YMO - "You've Got to Help Yourself" (the beat, chords)
Ian Thomas - Painted Ladies (the rhythm in the intro)
Sonic Adventure - E-102's Theme (the melody)
Denki Groove - Shangri-La and Pogo - Muppet Mash (the sampling)
Nujabes - Battle Cry (the random piano notes during the repeat of the intro)
Maison Ikkoku - Hello Sadness (the outro)
...Along with my love of high EQ'd piano, fragile, unstable-sounding melodies, slightly out-of-tune old synthesizers, mellotron and primitive drum machines. And the samples are mainly from obscure 70s disco tracks.
