We're back with an hour long Forecast from London based party planner and all round good guy Inner Totality. He's been putting on shindigs with consistantly fantastic line-ups for quite a wee while now and it just so happens that he's also real good at piecing together musical bits for your listening pleasure, much like the one we're offering up here. It's seen us through some of the damper parts of Glasgow's month of vertical rain and we're pretty certain that whatever the climate is like where you are that you'll get something out of it too. PS. It features some music by the man himself that will come into tape-shaped fruition on the brand new label 'Selkies' this April.

Test subject 1.14 @consulateultra transmits a recording both mystifying and unsettling. A journey that on the surface, makes no logical sense; just an underlying feeling that something isn't quite right. But therein lies its beauty. Juxtaposing sounds and deranged blends are selected with complete precision to generate points of anticlimax and confusion. Embrace the obscure.

"I found it really challenging. It took me three attempts and a bunch of false starts before I was happy with the mix. At first, I saw rope bridges; Mesoamerican symbology; a jungle, but thought doing a jungle mix was a bit blunt. After staring at it for far too long and coming up with dozens of conflicting interpretations, I realised that ‘disorientation’ prevailed. To convey this, I included tracks and artists from disparate time periods and genres to achieve something I hope is disorienting while retaining some sense of cohesion. During lockdown I’ve gone through stages of listening to a lot of music and then listening to none at all. I have managed to consume a lot of books, films and games in the last few months, so I drew some factor of inspiration from those mediums - Carl Jung, John Carpenter, WB Yeats and Robert W. Chambers all feature in audio form, while various other cinematic or thematic influences definitely informed its general direction." Consulate on navigating the image for his Manifestation mix.

K Means has been bending the rules of UK bass music for the past few years, via her broadcasts for Noods Radio and Netil Radio, and residencies for Bristol's Psychotherapy Sessions and her own Expansion Pak club nite. Her sets alongside the likes of Anz and Quest?onmarc have sent parties across the UK into an absolute frenzy, with a signature mix of headspinning bass, slapping club edits, wild footwork and mutant dancehall. She gets supernatural for an hour.
