Wigan Pier is in a sorry old state.

It once stood as a beacon to the industrial age. People don't care much for history and nostalgia  these days. If it costs money they would rather turn a blind eye. 

A group of local Wigan people are putting pressure on the council to do something about the misfortunes of the world famous Wigan Pier. 

I wrote this little song in support of local people, and to highlight the need for social history to be protected. 

It isn't intended to "bash" the council into submission, but to encourage them to open up a discussion with groups who want the pier returned to it's former glory.
