About 6 months ago, just before I set off on my 5 month tour of Europe I got a message from a good friend of mine asking me if I would edit a track that he loves. 
I said of course, and asked him what track. 
Turns out its a big favourite of mine also.
'Why Can't We Live Together' by Timmy Thomas is an amazing song with a strong message that is even more relevant today than it was back in 1972.
The message is clear, it's simple, it's beautiful.
I'm saddened by recent events around the world and I've always tried to spread love through music, because for me, music is love.

What Is What (Facets Edit)

Ton Globiter aka Dominique joins Roam Recordings with his debut EP 'Equilibrium'. Dark electronics, moving rhythms, and crafty synth stylings characterize this excellent release from the Lithuanian based producer. Ton Globiter (under the moniker Dominique) first caught the attention of Roam Recordings with his Erosion single offered as a free download and featured by Lithuanian music blog WhyPeopleDance. A perfect match for the label, Roam Recordings picked up two new originals from the up and coming artist that are presented here.

The EP is backed by two superb remixes from Connor and K-Effect. Connor, who has been prolific lately on labels such as Nein and Esthetique Records, delivers a masterful workout with his sublime driving remix of the title track Equilibrium. After their successful 'No Smoke' EP, K-Effect returns to Roam Recordings to bring an alluring psychedelic deep and hypnotic remix of Hocus Pocus.

Together the four mixes offer a solid EP of slightly left field dance music from artists on the rise.

The latest addition to the @NightNoiseMusic roster is London based @TalesOfVoodoo with their 'Sun Cymbals & Moon Rituals' debut EP. Featuring remixes from Jose Manuel and label buddy Yarni.

They will  also be celebrating with a release party at ‘The Glove That Fits’ in Hackney on the 10th August with a DJ/VJ show from themselves and Yarni.

Tronik Youth (head honcho of @neinrecords) continues his exploration of the dark side of electronic music on @Controlla , starting with title track 'Obey Your Dom' which channels the EBM sound of the 80's and turns it into a metallic dance-floor bomb. Whilst the other original  'Entro-Venus' is a more modern techno cut with chaotic reverbs of sexual cries inspired by many a night in a certain German Club.

The remix package features Berlin-based queer techno activist La Fraicheur, plus Mexican peers Ricardo Rubén, Ali X, Ximena & Palomo who head the label, Alisu and @AlveeMx. The latter sculpting Obey your Dom into a beast of a track that stands out for its finesse and dark charm.

DC Promo Tracks #483: Pierced Brosnan "Bustin"

The formidable Dirt Crew return with a second outing on the label from South East Londoner Dampé. His 'Garden EP’ is a more machine-led outing than his debut 'Peach Shuffle’, with six expertly crafted cuts aimed squarely at the dance-floor. '727 And Arp Breaks' is as you'd imagine an effectionate nod to two of Dampé's most loved studio tools. The TR-727 and an Arp Odyssey marry dubbed out stabs to some deeply, groovey rolling breaks. However this is not an empty club banger by any means; deftly played jazzy Rhodes keys add more than a touch of soul to the proceedings. Classy stuff.

Euphoria inducing piano hooks, blissed-out keyboard slides and irresistibly groovy basslines. Melbourne-based duo Donald's House return to Nick Höppner's excellent Touch From A Distance with another foursome of sun-drenched dance floor movers. Following the release of last year's highly-lauded debut EP, the brotherly duo of James and Peter Isaacs channel their musicality and love for balmy house aesthetics into a homage to their love of sweet treats, and their mother's prowess with an ice cream machine. 

B2, 'Piano Parfait’, is a punchy little weapon with dramatic chords, keyboard slides, and a horn section that’s reminiscent of a Latin big band. It's only fitting that the sun has come out in Amsterdam for this one.

Following the label's first cassette compilation released back in February, the team at Sensible Seelen are back with a new 10-tracker, once again including tracks from label runners DJ Küsse and Khshathra, but also enlisting friends Cameron Cullen, Edmondson and Hi & Saberhägen. This time round, with the added talent, the label have highlighted their disregard for sticking to a singular style, yet have succeeded in amalgamating the tracks into a cohesive final body of work that portrays an overall label sound.

A few months after the first instalment of our ‘Crysta Ampullaris’ V.A. series, we’re back for a second volume always with top-tier producers Reims has to offer and the will of showcasing their eclecticism. Good news, our little family has recently extended with the arrival of our dear trance-enthusiast Ayuji, whom first track ever appears at the end of this release.

Slowglide continues his journey through murky soundscapes and mid-tempo explorations, resulting in ‘Ego Death’, a bass-fueled kaleidoscopic trip to strange parcels of the unconscious. Exotic tones, screaming synths and heavy kick bursts progressively make the listener to drown himself into those introspective quicksands with no way out.

Taking inspirations from a large minimal background, Lebird supplied us with a high velocity tune driven by a perfect swing mastery and old school samples chopping. Somewhere between UKG and electro, well-named ‘Venturi’ showcases Lebird’s remarkable skills for dynamic twists and sound design, making it an smart tool to smash a dancefloor.

Terrible child Shonen Bat back at it again with ‘Fastglide’ (odd name choice, innit?), a futuristic high-octane joint that could become the perfect soundtrack for (real) hoverboards competitions to come. Bouncy drum programming, fast gliding bassline and moving synths melt together at some point, leading to a climax of pure euphoria.

Nigm’s offering to our symbolic divinity sounds like a sonic patchwork of reminiscent echoes from ancient lores. Like tales, musical parts are each taking us to different landscapes and eras of a same place, until the world collapse under gods’ distorted kicks and hardcore breakbeats in order for the emerge of a new one.

Lastly, rookie Ayuji’s golden touch provided us with a melodic masterpiece. ‘King Midas’ is a pure celestial gem, celebrating the golden days of early trance with a modern twist. Layers of piano, fairy choirs, glittering synths and crystal tones bring the listener to a total contemplative state as the 909 beats and the bassline grow in intensity. A perfect sunrise tune for sure.
