About the cd:
So this release came out at the peak of my clubbing days and coincided with 'that visit to Gatecrasher' on the summer bank holiday of 2008. Which came about due to the rest of the gang all heading down to the first ever Creamfields (Or maybe it was Homelands by then). From what I can remember, the club was a huge, 2 roomed rave temple with followers of it's religion going mental each and every weekend. One of the lads freaked out at the amount of 'colourful' clubbers in his vicinity and went and sat in the car alone all night! (Actual LOL here).

But about the CD, considering this is the 'Early set' you can get an idea of how banging this club was. And of course went onto become the new super club of the north and throwing parties around the world with countless other CD releases. Matt Darey Presents Mash Up - Liberation (Ferry Corsten Remix)

In the year 1936 Samuel Barber composed a beautiful classic piece of music, which got the name "Adagio For Strings".  A composition that was used a lot, such as in famous movies like “Platoon”. In 1995 UK based producer William Orbit started to work on an album with synthesizer interpretations of some classical pieces. In 1999 Ferry Corsten was asked to make a remix of William’s version of “Adagio For Strings”. Ferry’s remix got released late 1999 and an edit of Ferry’s version, was even used as the radio / video version.

Ferry’s remix won a "Dancestar Award" in 2000 for best remix of the year of 1999.
