On a very crisp Sunday evening, nearing midnight, nestled in the Blue Mountains about 30 minutes out of Lithgow.  I had the absolute pleasure of performing this set (or something like it) for Samual "Night Blind" Toppo's birthday for Samstock 2.1.

The set reflects my desire to hear variety in electronica and particularly performed sets, shifting through various genres of drum and bass, half-time and dubstep. Each one providing something different, something special the other can't.  I've been finding a lot of peace in Liquid recently but often I feel the need for the filthiest of wobbly wubs that I can screw my face up to. 

I hope this set reflects what was intended, thank you so much to Samual, Mark, Kasia (and everyone else) for opening your arms, welcoming me into the NSW tribe and facilitating the space for all the wonderful artists that came together last weekend. Much love, till next time <3

THE MOONRAKERS | Psychedelic Jelly series #2 | 15/12/2020

Matthew Rose A.K.A 'Rosemary' is a Tasmanian based artist, inspired by numerous forms of expression. He mainly mixes bass electronica and writes acoustic folk music, with lyricism heavily inspired from his love of angsty emo punk, but also dabbles in stage production, flow arts and visual arts.

Attending Tasmanian underground doofs since 2016 before playing his first DnB set in 2020 he now regularly features on local doof lineups curating a range of sets encompassing various flavours of DnB and Dubstep for all hours of the day.

He played at SamStock 2.1 in the Blue Mountains of NSW playing 2 sets over the course of the weekend (28/5/21) and then returned to the blue mountains in December for Tribe Ascension 2021.
