Wife took the kids out of town a couple weeks back and I stayed up late drinking beer, made this song up in a flash of silliness. It's supposed to be an intro to another, poppier song.

Thunder And Lightening 2 20 2015

So there was this blizzard on February 20, 2015. I sat at home here in Madtown Sconnie banging out acoustic numbers.  This is two songs glued together; the second "bonus" track is called "If at the time" and, you guessed it, it's unfinished. Maybe it wasn't a blizzard.  Maybe it was just snowing very prettily.

Pissed Off City, Revisited

I am a singer-songwriter, rocker, and such from Duluth, Minnesota. I currently live in California. In Duluth, I was in a band called XYZ and we did covers of Pet Shop Boys, The Suburbs, and Flock of Seagulls, as well as our own songs. In Minneapolis, I have started (and destroyed) a hand-full of bands. The first was called Steel Shank, we put out one EP and then imploded. I had a side project at this time called Snapcrotch. Then I started a group called the Spring Collection; we put out one CD, called "Aquarius", and then imploded before releasing our follow-up record (which I hope will see the light of day sometime.). Around 1999, I dubbed myself "Faux Jean" and embarked on a solo career.  That lasted about 6 months and then Faux Jean became the name of the band, which lasted a few years, and went through some line-up changes and then officially imploded in 2006.  That band put out "Kiss Life on the Lips," "Nature," "Dead Lover" and "Light it Up/Burn it Down." Since then, I've released one cassette under the name Faux Jean, "The Mongolian Invasion," which my benevolent employer (Isaac Becker) then funded into CD form. I am currently preparing to release a CD of new compositions which I crafted in the spare bedroom with a single microphone and a beat up laptop with Garageband on it.   Thanks for listening.
