It's been a while since I made a chiptune cover, so I covered one of my favorite tracks from Heavensward! The genre doesn't lend itself much to chiptune but I think it turned out nicely.

Context:

“The Aureum” is a composition that evokes the grandeur and splendor of the legendary golden castle of Délver — the radiant heart of the Kingdom of Fulgor. Its towers pierce the heavens like spears of gold, reflecting the sun’s light with an almost divine brilliance, while its walls, forged through wisdom and power, stand as symbols of the city’s prosperity and enlightenment.

Upon its banners soars the crowned owl of five points — the emblem of Délver — watching the world with eyes of wisdom and representing the five grand districts of the capital. Guided by this emblem, the music leads the listener through gleaming corridors and resounding halls where the echoes of ancient tales linger: of kings and luminars, of alliances and rivalries, of glories and downfalls that shaped the continent.

“The Aureum” is also a tribute to the Belliants, the silver-armored warriors who guard the castle and embody Délver’s might against her rivals — most notably the eternal adversary, Dinark. The melody shifts between the serene gold of wisdom and the fiery passion of battle, carrying the soul of a realm that lives between peace and power.
