Eclectic Electronic Soundscapes -
International Womens Day 2018 pt1 .....
The idea - to just try and demonstarate just how much electronic music of all genres is being created by artists who just happen to identify as female.
As always, this is in no way an exhaustive list. I'm always just skimming the surface of creativity and as ever it's just a starting point...it really is the tip of the iceberg of some of the music I've listened to this past few weeks and brace yourselves, there are two other lists like this one for IWD2018.
I just wanted to see for myself how many artists are out there creating a huge range of sounds and I've deliberately not put them in any order to underline how eclectic they are -

Feminatronic #127 - IWD2018 - Tip of the Iceberg #1

The original intention was to post this track on or around the 21st September, as some small acknowledgement of the U.N. International Day of Peace (http://www.un.org/en/events/peaceday/).
 
However, of course, the 11th day of September also marked the sad anniversary of another, perhaps even more tangible, reminder of our singular failure to achieve anything approaching peace in so many countries around the globe. 
 
The spoken words reproduced below are taken from a speech made fifty years ago by John F. Kennedy, and in appropriating them for my own use, I would not wish to suggest that any one man had all the answers, only that the sentiments expressed therein are as meaningful today as they were when first uttered in 1963.  


The track is eight minutes in length, but I’d like to hope that you’ll take the time to absorb the atmosphere, however dark, and allow the music to say more than I ever could. 
An easy listen? Not this time.  

Governments don’t change things; individuals do.

Wenn Wölfinnen schlafen
Träumen sie von Nordlichtern
Die die Dunkelheit durchstreifen
Und die nur das erhellen

Wachsen für kurze Zeit
Kleine Eiskristallblumen
Sie schmelzen in der warmen Nacht
